Why become a member? The challenges of preserving and maintaining the Baltimore Maritime Museum Collection are tremendous. Unlike other museum collections that are preserved in special climate controlled conditions, the ships and lighthouse of the Baltimore Maritime Museum are constantly exposed to the environmental stresses of a marine environment. Without constant maintenance and restoration these national historic landmarks will be lost.
